Edmund Germer's development of the lamp inflated the potency of those devices, that allowed for lower power consumption and brighter light-weight than the quality incandescent lights pioneered by Thomas Alva Edison. Over the years he has collected over one hundred thirty patents principally for ways involving fluorescent lighting.
